If you ask anyone about footage they may have seen of La Leyenda to date they'll definitely mention Valentí Sanjuan's daily Youtube videos from La Leyenda 2017 with Ruben Gallart and Horacio Cabilla. Valentí's an amatuer rider from Barcelona, Spain, and former full time journalist, who over the last several years has dedicated himself to mountain bike stage races, various forms of triathlons and other gruelling challenges, filming all the relevant emotions and experiences for his YouTube channel, ValentíEstaLoco. The peak of this last year was completing 10 Ironman triathlons in 10 days, for which La Leyenda 2017 formed part of his training and preparation.

"It's so exciting to return with Barri to give it our all in what's known as one of the toughest races in the world," said Valentí, who'll be racing with his long time friend Jordi Barri, another amateur from Barcelona. They've already completed the Cape Epic this year, this after Jordi having never really taken on any serious endurance challenges before, which goes to show that with dedication, training and above all, Valenti's 'Actitú' message, anything is possible. It's this inspirational message that resonates with Valentí's nearly 1 million followers on social media and saw people coming from all over Colombia to meet Valentí and his team during La Leyenda 2017, often in some of the most remote parts of the route. Valentí added,

"We love Colombia, the people, the beautiful landscapes, it's incredible. People came to cheers us on in the middle of nowhere last year which was an unbelievable feeling."

As in 2017, post La Leyenda, Valentí and his Menos Cabeza, Más Corazón team will be touring Colombia to meet their fans at scheduled talks in various cities, about which more details will be released soon. In the meantime keep your eye on Valentí and Jordi's social media channels as they document their preparation for La Leyenda 2018 and we're already excited about seeing them on the start line in just over 2 months time!
