A Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is included in the Nevado and Supporters packages and will be either provided in your hotel or a centralised dining area. This will be clearly explained in the Racebook you will receive at registration. The Altiplano package does NOT include Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Yes we have a catering company that is fully versed in all dietary needs and requirements. We ask you to give detail of your requirements when your register which we will then communicate to the caterer. We do also suggest you have some of your own snacks on hand should you require more than what we can offer to suit your dietary restrictions.
Each bike will be washed, dried, chain lubricated and brakes checked at the end of each stage. We will have a secure bike park at the start/finish of each stage so you can leave your bike there between stages. Bikes can be signed in and out of the bike park as needed by showing your ID bracelet. They will then check your bib number, bike number, bike stickers and bike model match and are consistent with our records before releasing the bike to you.
We will have mechanical assistance at all aid stations, mechanical assistance is free on route but if you require spare parts you will be informed of the price and you will have to make payment to Specialized or Shimano in the mechanics zone before the final stage. Failure or refusal to pay Specialized or Shimano will result in disqualification.
There will also be mechanical support available with spare parts for purchase (subject to availability) at the end of each stage. This will be organised at an additional cost on a first come, first served basis. You will be able to discuss your requirements with the Head Mechanic who speaks English. Alternatively, to guarantee daily bike maintenance you can buy the Maintenance Package when you register. Any spare parts will be at an additional cost to the racer, subject to availability and must be paid for before the final stage. Failure to pay for any parts or service will result in you not being able to start the final stage. The Organisers take no responsibility for any additional parts purchased or services carried out on bicycles.
Please note we may include extra water points in certain stages depending on climatic conditions, these will not have technical assistance.
Massages - There will be a team of masseurs in the event village at the end of each stage providing a range of massage options. Bookings are made by the riders after they finish each day on a first come, first serve basis, or to guarantee a daily massage you can buy the Massage Package when you register.
Mechanics - A team of Specialized/Shimano mechanics with a range of spare parts will be located at the start/ finish zone of each stage. Racers will be served on a first come, first served basis and payment must be made directly to Specialized/Shimano or to guarantee daily bike maintenance you can buy the Maintenance Package when you register.
There will be a team of masseurs in the event village at the end of each stage providing a range of massage options. Bookings are made by the riders after they finish each day on a first come first serve basis, or to guarantee a daily massage you can buy the Massage Package when you register.
You will be able to charge electronic devices in your accommodation, just make sure you have the correct adapter if travelling from abroad.
