PRE RACE TOURS

Bogota, Boyaca & Cundinamarca Visit Colombia's capital and historical centre, journey along the high-Andean plateau visting various towns and villages that each have their own tale to tell in Colombia's rich pre-Hispanic and Spanish colonial history. Relax in Villa de Leyva and absorb the atmosphere in this quiet and beautifully preserved Spanish colonial town, home to various museums, cafes and restaurants just waiting to be explored. High-altitude cycling routes are available here.
Colombian Coffee Region (Close to where the race starts) Journey through one of Colombia's best known landscapes, home to volcanoes, lush mountains, cloud forest and fertile soils that were once the epicentre of Colombia's revered and world famous coffee production. Visit colonial towns, view exuberant nature and see the coffee process from beginning to end during your stay. The mountainous landscape is perfect for exploration on foot or on a bicycle.

POST RACE TOURS

Cartagena Visit the renowned UNESCO World Heritage site and marvel at its beautifully preserved 16th century architecture, inquire into the Spanish Inquisition's old HQ and understand why the Spanish invested so heavily in both the city's walled fortifications and St Philip's Castle that defends it. A living museum that doesn't tire of having its streets and plazas explored both by day and by night.
Providencia Colombia's very own slice of Caribbean island paradise this 7km island is dominated by natural vegetation and original fusion of various cultures, black-afro and Spanish descendants mix together to form an eclectic society very much focused on just enjoying the spectacular scenery, warm waters, great food and wonderful Caribbean sunsets. Providencia is much preferred over its archipelago neighbour - San Andres, as the island has hardly been developed and still retains much of its original state. Providencia is renowned for its 'sea of 7 colours', where the waters gradually change from a piercing turquoise to a deep blue. Enjoy the islands enchantments staying at a hotel of the same name 'Deep Blue', without doubt its most famous base for exploring the island.
Amazonas Explore the vastness of the world's great tropical rainforest. View Amazonian wildlife - pink river dolphins, freshwater turtles and cayman, stunning birdlife and maybe most importantly, share with and learn from indigenous communities who have called this place home for over 10,000 years.
Tayrona Treat yourself to a paradisiacal stay on Tayrona's famous beaches, once voted among the world's most beautiful. Shrouded in jungle and nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Tayrona's ecohabs have a stunning view across Cañaverales beach and makes an excellent base for exploring the various coves that lie to the west. For a more adventurous excursion, Pueblito and its ancient Tayrona ruins lie just a few km away.
Capurgana Visit one of Colombia's last Caribbean hideaways. Enjoy a simple coastal life for a few days among the ethnic communities of the Caribbean Darien. Jungle hikes into the legendary Darien itself also available.
Guaviare The doorway to the Amazon in Colombia. Vast jungles and 2 billion year-old rock formations, beautifully decorated by ancient and un-investigated rock art dating back 11,000 years.
